    • 11:30am until 2:30pm

MAYDAY 2012. SHUT DOWN THE CITY  ....  FLORIDA

    • May 1 at 12:00am until May 5 at 12:00am

  • The most powerful weapon we have is our collective refusal to participate in this system. Without our participation, the gears come to a grinding halt.
The machine cannot operate without majority consent to it's rule.
Quiet acceptance of the conditions imposed upon us by the ruling class and the government that protects them, reinforces the Master and Slave relation that this society suffers from.

Bigger steps are necessary to win this fight we are engaged in. Occupations should not be looked at as the e...xclusive from of resistance. There are plenty of things we could do to compliment our occupations and advance this struggle.

The General Strike is one such thing. Our refusal to work for even one day, on a mass scale, would SHUT DOWN this city. If thousands did not go to work and converged at city hall or on MLK Plaza and marched on the banks, jails, corporations, and through our neighborhoods, what would happen?

Would this idea that all we have to do is refuse to work to stir things up spread?
    Let's hope so.

We are capable of shutting their system down and taking everything they stole back.
    Let's start with Pensacola.

SPREAD THIS IDEA FAR AND WIDE.
    SCHEME, PLAN, PLOT, DREAM.
    GET FED UP.

    See you on the streets!

November 5, 2012 Protest at The White House - Washington D.C.

    • Monday, November 5, 2012

    • 12:00pm until 3:00pm

  • This is a protest that is being organized by Anonymous members. The protest will take place in front of The White House at Washington D.C. The time of the protest is still unknown. We need all your support by spreading the link to this video and letting people know that this protest will be more than just a simple march. This protest will be a symbol that shows our freedom, rights, and dignity. Let us show the government that we are the 99%. Of course we still need an Anonymous citizen to file the paper-works for this protest to fully succeed and be 100% legal.

Money Shouldn't Talk Silent Flash March (Capitol Hill) SEATTLE

  • Saturday, February 25, 2012

  • 10:30am until 2:00pm

This is a silent flash march along Broadway, in and around Capitol Hill. During while we will be encouraging people to silently enter actual stores and well as meeting up at designated times in front of Bank of America, Chase, and U.S. Bank on the sidewalk to hold short silent vigils.

We'll be meeting up at Cal Anderson Park by the water fountain at 10:30am before heading out to walk around Broadway.

Even if you can't make it, please share the heck out of this *and* add your friends to the invite!!

What's this about?

"Right now, with every dollar we spend, we give corporations more and more influence over our politics. Over our healthcare, our government, our society, and our future. With every dollar we give them more and more influence over our daily lives.

We think this is wrong. Money isn't speech. And it definitely shouldn't be a corporate megaphone with which to corrupt our system of government, bride our politicians, and buy special treatment.

Buying their goods shouldn't mean selling our voices. Buying their goods shouldn't mean selling ourselves. We feel it's time people started drawing direct attention to the silencing power of money as speech. As consumers, as voters, as citizens, as a society, as people, and as human beings, we can all agree, money shouldn't talk.

Together let us reclaim our voices with silence."

We will have small printed versions of the above statement contained in this invite for you to hand out if someone wishes to engage you in positive dialog about this action or wants a more information about the action and you do not wish to break your silence. We will also have small cheat-sheets available with a map and the times for the silent vigils in front of the banks.

In keeping with the message of the dollars tapped over our mouths, "silent" means remaining quiet. No chanting, singing, or drums, etc. As well talking amongst ourselves should be kept to a minimum. We make our point by engaging in eye contact with as many of the people that pass by as possible and holding it just a little bit too long.

We want to draw as much visual attention to the dollars and the messages you've written on them as possible. Corporate logos, wording, occupy gear, etc. will detract from this. So if you can, please try to wear plain clothing without any words, symbols, logos, or stickers. For that reason also, please do not bring signs to hold or flags to wave.

In between the silent vigils in front of the banks you are encouraged to make your way around Capitol Hill, up and down Broadway by yourself, with a couple friends, or in a larger group.

• 10:30am - Meet in Cal Anderson Park by the water fountain and get ready.
- There will be a brief orientation
- Printed versions of the statement will be available if you wish to hand them out
- Please bring a dollar bill with you if you can (we'll have some extra)
- We'll have some tape & spirit gum on hand.
- If you can bring some tape with you to share, even better.
- We'll have markers on hand if you wish to write a message on your dollar.

• 11:00am - Walk around Broadway and or enter shops.

• 11:30am to 12:00pm - Silent vigil in front of Bank of America (614 Broadway East)

• 12:00pm - Walk around Broadway and or enter shops.

• 12:30pm to 1:00pm - Silent vigil in front of Chase Bank (301 Broadway East)

• 1:00pm - Walk around Broadway and or enter shops.

• 1:30pm to 2:00pm - Silent vigil in front of U.S. Bank (135 Broadway East)

• 2:00pm - March concludes.

See you there!!

NOISE DEMO: National Occupy Day of Prisoner Solidarity

NOISE DEMO: National Occupy Day of Prisoner Solidarity
    • Monday, February 20, 2012

    • 8:00pm until 10:00pm

  • There will be a noise demonstration held at the King County Juvenile Detention Center in the Central District (Seattle) at 8PM.

This is organized to respond to the California prisoners call for solidarity with prisoners which was endorsed by Occupy Oakland. Occupy Oakland will be going out to the San Quentin Prison. Other cities including LA, Baltimore, Chicago and others will be joining in on the call as well.

    Things to bring:

anything to make noise! (so the youth can hear us)
    banners, flags, signs, fliers, etc.

    ___________________________________________________________

This noise demonstration will be to express solidarity with all political and social prisoners as well as the youth imprisoned at King County Juvi to break the isolation that is both a requirement and a function of prisons.

We want the youth to know that they are not alone that there are those of us in the outer walls who are saying fuck prisons, down with every prison wall.

This prison society we live in, with every one of its laws, courts, cops, prisons and networks of surveillance, has made it very clear that the 'life' we're supposed to accept is nothing more than a life sentence in an open air prison and upon violation a 'life' of extreme alienation, isolation, and degradation. Those prisoners who resist inside recognize this as they continue to refuse the meek existence that the state and capital tries to impose on them.

Prison has a long history within capitalism and governments, as being one of the most archaic forms of prolonged torture and punishment. It has been used to kill some slowly and torture those “undesirables” to the reigning social order - who have do not fit within the predetermined mold of civil society.

Youth, the most anti-establishment social group, are often used as the definition of undesirable. Those in charge are correct in their assumption that the youth are the last to submit, the last to be controlled. In response, they build institutions like, the King County Juvenile Detention Center. The same people that build these prisons are the ones that create poverty and discrimination. They create the conditions of crime and then build the prisons to contain their “criminals”. There is no solving the prison problem because prisons are exactly what this repressive society needs to function: social control and fear. This is why we are not only against prisons but against the whole system that relies on them.

Solidarity with every youth who fights for freedom, and all prisoners, around the world, who refuse to accept forced confinement, isolation and abuse, who dream of the day that we together destroy these walls.

Capitol Occupation Documentation Station WISCONSIN

    • Tuesday at 10:00am until Wednesday at 6:00pm

  • Tuesday, February 14th:
    north hearing room (2nd floor)
    10am - 6pm

    Wednesday, February 15th:
    room 300 NE
    10am - 6pm

Last year’s protests have historical significance not only for Wisconsin but for the country as a whole, as in many ways what happened here was one of the inspirations for the nationwide occupy movement that began in September.

In an effort to better preserve the history of the Wisconsin Uprising, the organizers of the Capitol Information Station (which served as a crucial vehicle for information and networking during the Capitol Occupation), will be running a “Documentation Station” to help preserve the collective memory of last year’s events. Over the course of two days, audio recorders, cameras, and artistic materials will be available in the Capitol for people to use to share their stories and memories of the past year. Organizers encourage anyone who participated in the protests to bring signs, posters, photographs (digital files or printed), pins, and other memorable items to contribute to the project!

For more information please contact infostationmadison@gmail.com.

This event is part of coalition sponsored Week of Action to commemorate the Wisconsin Uprising. Full list of events see https://www.facebook.com/events/293479524043304/

Show the Love, Save Our Schools!  WISCONSIN

Brothers and Sisters,

One year ago, Governor Scott Walker and the Wisconsin GOP dropped "the bomb" on public workers, including teachers and educational support staff by stripping us of 50 years of collective bargaining rights. First, they created a deficit by giving tax breaks to wealthy corporate interests and then refused federal stimulus money to help create jobs. They used this ginned up fiscal crisis as the pretext for their union busting agenda and tried to ram it through the legislature in a few short days.

You fought back with the help of 14 'spunky' senators who had the courage to stand up to the brazen attack on worker's rights and the Wisconsin Idea. The turmoil and uprising continues a year later as we've successfully gathered nearly two million signatures to recall Scott Walker, Rebecca Kleesfisch and four more GOP Senators. While his constituents are out in the cold, rain, and snow collecting signatures to recall him, Walker is out of state in Texas, Florida and New York collecting millions and millions of dollars from his 'fat cat' supporters who are engaged in a national effort to crush Unions. Meanwhile, Wisconsin continues to lose jobs as the rest of country appears to be recovering. No Scott Walker, your reforms are NOT working.

In addition to this attack on worker's rights, Walker and his cronies have slashed education funding, funding for health care for our most vulnerable citizens, clamped down on free speech rights, made it more difficult to vote and have generally created one of the most divisive political environments in the country. And, let's not forget the ongoing John Doe investigation that has already ensnared several of his close advisors and campaign staff.

Please join in Solidarity to commemorate the one year anniversary of this historic uprising. We will gather at the corner of Wisconsin Avenue and Mifflin St. at 4:15 PM, then march in protest, hear some short speeches of inspiration, and end with a Solidarity Sing Along! Bring picket signs and wear MTI Red!

Scott Walker and the GOP can take away our rights but not our voices! Let's remind them that our resolve is certain and that our Union makes us strong!

A GLOBAL DAY Of Action Shut Down MONSANTO ! European movement

A GLOBAL DAY Of Action Shut Down MONSANTO ! European movement

    • March 16 at 7:00am until March 17 at 7:00am

  • Any and Every Monsanto facility in the world http://www.monsanto.com/whoweare/pa... Any and Every Monsanto facility in the world http://www.monsanto.com/whoweare/pa...

  • MONSANTO is one of the leading concerns in agricultural industry.

*It's a leading producer of ROUND UP (glyphosate), which was proven to cause birth defects on some animals even in dilutions much lower than those used in agriculture.

*Many of the seeds produced by the company are genetically modified to be RESISTANT TO CHEMICALS like Round Up. Eating products grown from them has been proven to have adverse effects on health.

*The other controversy is TERMINATORS technology patented by one of the companies in Monsanto group. It allows to produce STERILE SEEDS which grow into plants that don't flower and grow seeds. It forces farmers to purchase new seeds each year, instead of growing their own and makes them totally DEPENDENT ON THE SUPPLIER. This caused many protests all over the World and it is a practice against natural rights!

*Another controversy around Monsanto was introducing SYNTHETIC GROWTH HORMONE, known as "recombinant Bovine Growth Hormone" - hormone injected to cows to INCREASE MILK PRODUCTION. This hormone is present in milk and linked to many adverse effects like CANCER ACCELERATION.

*The concern is responsible for pollution in different parts of the World, like dumping toxic waste in the UK (1965 - 1972), etc.

*Moreover! Monsanto was also a producer of AGENT ORANGE - a herbicide and defoliant used by USA in Vietnam war. It was used to destroy crops and forests in many parts of Vietnam, Laos and Cambodia (1962-71) and caused devastating effects on people's health like cancers, terrible birth defects, stillbirths and miscarriages, etc. These chemicals are still present in the soil.

*Monsanto employs children in cotton-seeds manufacture in India. Work includes carrying of poisonous pesticides. Those children get less than half dollar daily for their work.

    Europe resists genetically modified foods:

EU legislation of 2003 demanded strict rules on labeling, traceability and risk assessments of GM foods by all the biotech companies. The 2004 regulation laid down procedures on traceability and labeling of genetically modified organisms (GMOs) and all products produced using GMOs. The mandatory labeling legislation extends its requirement to all food and food ingredients produced from GMOs regardless of the detectable presence of DNA or protein within the final food product. (source - Wikipedia)

Let's help to shut the poisoner down and bring it to justice!

UNITE WITH WORLDWIDE PROTESTS against the crimes of this one corporation with one objective: to educate Consumers, Farmers - and Monsanto... that we are not ignorant, and we will Not accept GMO Control of Food.
Consumers need to know what they are eating, and the disaster Export Farming and Control of Seeds has caused in the 3rd World, disguised as philanthropy. Millions are dying. Indigenous lands are destroyed, poverty and hunger has increased.
the fight in Europe is well underway, with resistance in Poland, Hungary, France and England

Thursday Demonstration and Proposal Writing Group ARIZONA USA

    • Thursday

    • 5:00pm until 8:00pm

  • Please join us on Thursday evenings to demonstrate on the square and brainstorm proposals for Saturday's General Assembly. Although many people have expressed frustration about the apparent lack of effectiveness of demonstrating and progress of the movement as a whole, wefeel this form of free-speech is a powerful statement and shows people the importance of our message. Additionally, we would like to remind people Occupy demonstrations world-wide have had an incalculable impact and the whole nature of mainstream political discourse has been influenced. By continuing demonstrations, we let politicians know that we will not be content with mere talk or acknowledgement, we want real change and will not rest until it happens!
Demonstrating is not just about conveying a message written on a sign, it is a statement showing that participants are willing to take a stand against the status-quo. Demonstrating is a corner-stone of non-violent resistance and civil-disobedience. It is not the only tool at our disposal but it is a major one. Please help us to end the merger of corporation and state. Thank you for your continued support! Meet like-minded people and differently minded people and discuss what we can do to make a difference!

ENVIA TU QUEJA: NO QUEREMOS SUBVENCIONAR LA TAUROMAQUIA!  MADRID, SPAIN

    • Sunday, February 26, 2012

    • 9:00am until 12:00pm

  • El ministro de Educación, Cultura y Deporte ha anunciado que desarrollará "medidas de puesta en valor de la tauromaquia, y ayudas de acción y promoción cultural en el mundo del toro".

    ¿¿No vamos a decir nada??

    http://www.mcu.es/contacte/contacteLoadSaveForm.do?layout=contacte&tipoArea=TIPOGENERAL&cache=init&language=es

    Por correo electrónico: info.atencion@MCU.ES

    O por correo ordinario:
    Secretaría de Estado de Cultura
    Plaza del Rey, 1
    28004 Madrid

    Expect us.
